Ikenna Ebiri is a Nigerian global health policy analyst, writer, and implementation advocate with over a decade of experience in health systems strengthening, community engagement, and the practical translation of evidence into equitable policy and practice across low- and middle-income countries.

As an active member of the Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH) network and a regular contributor to the International Health Policies (IHP) newsletter, he brings sharp, context-grounded perspectives on decolonising implementation science, advancing “convivial solidarity” in health governance, and addressing the real-world barriers to sustainable scale-up of interventions in African settings. His work consistently emphasises domestically financed, culturally responsive, and community-owned approaches to implementation — moving beyond pilot projects to systems that deliver measurable impact without perpetual donor dependence.

Ikenna is deeply committed to strengthening the Global Implementation Society as a truly international platform that elevates Global South voices and ensures implementation science serves the realities of under-resourced contexts. He would bring implementation realism, policy insight, and a strong African perspective to the GIS Board of Directors.
